My child,
will you put your hand
in Mine
and
walk with Me
even though
you do not know
where we are going?
Will you do this?
Will you do this
for Me?
You think that
you are the only one
who needs companionship
along the way
but
I, too,
long for the company
of friends;
friends
who know Me;
who talk with Me;
who share with Me
their joys,
their sorrows,
their fears
and their delights.
I know what it is
to walk alone.
I have walked that path;
walked it
so that
I can now walk
with others;
with you;
alongside you.
I am
already walking
beside you
along the path
although
you cannot yet
see Me clearly;
you cannot yet
hear me clearly;
you cannot yet
feel My presence
as I long that you should.
But
I am patient.
I will wait.
Your eyes,
your ears,
your heart
will recognise Me
soon
as did My friends
on the road
to Emmaus.
And,
once you do;
once you put out your hand
and feel Me take it
you will no longer
walk in darkness;
no longer
walk in fear
of the unknown.
You may still
not know
where the road will lead
but
you will know
that
I am with you;
that
I am your Guide.
I know
where we are going
and
I will keep you safe.
There are many places
I want to take you;
many things
I want you to see.
My child,
will you put your hand
in Mine
and
trust Me?
