My beloved child,
you do not have
to look for Me;
to search for Me;
to seek Me out.
I am right here.
Your vision is clouded.
Your mind is full
of fears;
of worries.
That is why you do not
see Me;
That is why you do not
hear Me.
It is not because
I have left you
or abandoned you.
I would never leave you;
never forsake you.
Dwell on this fact.
Dwell on it
until
you believe it;
until
you believe that
I love you.
I feel
your hurt;
your pain;
your confusion.
Learn to trust Me.
Learn to lean on Me
and
learn to pass all these thoughts;
all these feelings
over on to My shoulders.
They are strong enough
to bear them.
Do not add to your burdens
unnecessary things-
the ‘what ifs’;
the ‘maybes’.
Live each day
as it comes
and
do not worry
about tomorrow.
Tomorrow
is in My hands.
I give bread;
I give strength
for today;
for every ‘today’.
And so
I say again,
My beloved child,
learn to trust Me
for today.

I have been writing poems for a number of years now and many of them have been used as prayers in church services.
Recently I have started to write meditations. These are based on people in the Bible who met with Jesus.
Other meditations are to be read on a more personal level as God speaks to us, collectively or as individuals where we are now.
The meditations can be used in services, in study groups or in private.
I live in York, England, and worship at Holy Trinity Church, Heworth, and St Olave's Church in York.
I work as Property Manager for the Diocese of York in the Church of England.
