Up the Mountain

Come with Me
up the mountain.
It is a request I make
only of My closest friends.
Walk up the mountain
with Me
side by side
to the very top.
And,
when we are there
the only thing
I ask of you
is that you
stay silent;
stay still.
Watch and listen.
Watch and listen
and
you will feel;
you will know
the closeness
of My Father’s presence.

Down in the valley
so many other things
block out
this feeling.
You are troubled and anxious
about many things
but only one thing
matters:
that you know
how much
you are loved;
that you feel
this love
surrounding you;
enveloping you;
empowering you
in your daily living.

Remember too
that it does not always
have to be Me
who invites you.
I want;
I long for
your invitation
to Me
to come with you
up the mountain.
It gladdens My heart
to receive
such invitations
from My children;
from those
whom I know
as friends.

It is not always
an easy journey
to the top.
The way
is sometimes difficult;
dangerous,
but
the rewards
are so great
that it is worth
the struggle.

My child;
My friend
come with Me
now.
