In the dark; in the peace; in the silence;
far away from the noise and the dread;
far away from the pain and the hatred,
the Lord Jesus rose from the dead.
At the dawn, as the stillness receded;
as the sun slowly lit up the sky;
the earth held its breath as it waited,
and He waited as Mary drew nigh.
Then the earth and the heavens were joyful,
for they knew that the battle was done.
While the Lord spoke softly to Mary
they knew that the victory was won.
